Exposing Evolution As A Mess and Atheism As Hot-Air!

Miracle Centre in Bethel California

with 10 comments

This video features one of the people I look up to in ministry Bill Johnson who has a church in California which is fully invested in miracles.

You do not need superstars to perform signs and wonders, the video contains a documented case of a heart cavity being healed.

  2. Why does God never heal any amputees?

And what about all those hundreds of millions of people who are deadly ill and never get healed?

Are those few that allegedly were healed by God so special and deserving? And all the others not deserving? Does God hate them because he does not heal them?

  3. This is really quite simplistic and a good example of the problems with credulous, magical thinking and demonstrates clearly how people who are inclined towards such thinking can be decieved.

A very quick search turned this up:

The condition discussed is well-known and will in some cases heal on it’s own.

This is hardly a miracle of any kind.

I still await your documented evidence of the human regrowth of a limb. If this is meant to be a response to my challenge to present such evidence, it is a very poor try. This is exactly what I predicted elsewhere on this site, a condition that is subject to remission on it’s own, yet still some will feel the need to herald it as a miracle.

are you serious? You know as well as I do that most of these tales do not hold water. With some of them people’s imagination may be running amuck as to the cause of the cure (if it did occur as reported), others are just plain lies.

Take, for example, “supernatural dentistry”. People claim that a chipped tooth, which had a piece missing, was miraculously restored? That is utter nonsense!

If such a thing was possible then kindly explain, why there is not a single (credible) report anywhere in the world about an amputee having been healed?

Sometimes pain may go away without extra treatment being applied, psychosomatic illnesses may be cured if the patient strongly believes in a cure, be it a shamanic ritual or Christian prayer.

But certain other things like severed limbs will never regrow on a human being. Why not if God has the power to heal? Does he hate amputees? Please cf. the following website:

It is hard to understand that people living in the 21st century still believe in medieval fairy stories. And still harder to figure out, why people who claim to be Christians do not shun from telling downright lies about “miraculous healings”.

  6. I am quite relaxed but unfortunatel have never been all that cool. I choose one testimony at random, listed at: http://www.ibethel.org/features/testimonies/index.php?f=testimonies.php&d=296

It describes the miraculous healing of a woman’s arthiritis. There are, sadly, at least two large problems here

    1. The woman is not identified. We have no way of verifying the long term value of this “cure”. Short term placebo effects may have caused a temporary sucrease from pain, for just one explanation. I would be very surprised if this or any other “healing” kept records (like medical professionals are required to do by law) so their real efficacy could be measured.

    2. The above assumes that the undocumented incident actually took place. I note with interest that the Bethel Church websote features a store. Might it not be that certain credulous types might be more inclined to buy merchandise from people they think to be miracle workers?

I am now making a prediction: I am going to look at more of these testimonies and thay will all be like the first one I looked at.

    Back in a moment.

Lo and behold. I was right. No names and entirely subjective stories. I didn’t read them all, but I likely don’t need to.

This is still not the well documented human limb regrowth you implied you could produce.

Lastly, the reasonable person will know that the little fun I had with my prediction above was pointless. I could have easily read them before and molded my “prediction” on that. This is very close to the New Testament “fullfilled prophecy” shell game.
