Exposing Evolution As A Mess and Atheism As Hot-Air!

Is Dawkins Exploiting Ignorance?

with 8 comments

There are people like that. Alister McGrath says he met someone who was angry with him because he said that Alister had destroyed his belief in the writtings of Richard Dawkings. I have met the kind, there are twenty year olds who do not understand christianity and they shallow the statements which Dawkins makes as if they were gospel, just because he is a Professor from Oxford.

In places like Britain Bible illiteracy is so high that you can convince people that Christianity is evil without any difficulties.  That is why Dawkins has to be confronted with his deceptions and mass hypnotisms.

Please note that critics of Dawkins do not enjoy the freedom of the  BBC and other media outlets like he does.  Whenever he is promoting a book he can go into a channel 4 studio and get them to fly him round the world on a huge budget.  If the British establishment were interested in education they would give McGrath room to really borrow Dawkins.  McGrath has only been on television when people like Dr Beckford, a black liberation theologists, have made mockumentaries of christianity.

I am not generally a fan of apologetics as an evangelistic tool because it is too defensive but in these cases it works because it destroys myths.

I have already indicated that Dawkins does not understand what faith is with the help of Atheism Sucks but I will discuss this in the near future.

  1. I do think it is the other way around.
You, for example, have been shown evidence that your stance is wrong throughout your very own blog.
Just reading through your comments section shows example after example of your own ignorance being corrected by evidence and facts. Yet you continue blindly on, vainly attempting to discredit Dawkins without providing any actual evidence of proof.

You deride Dawkins. You deride Evolution. But it appears quite clear that you utterly fail to comprehend the basics of the theory and have probably not even read Dawkins’ works.

  2. Just a few thoughts… Dawkins’ tactics are sometimes frustrating to me, as an atheist. But understand he operates primarily as a popularizer. His science is brilliant, his encroachment on the realm of philosophy is sometimes frustrating.

  5. There is an even better reason that McGrath isn’t given much airtime: he’s completely unlistenable. He makes wishy-washy non-arguments. In his two books about Richard Dawkins, it’s as though he barely even tries. He doesn’t debunk Dawkins; he just makes a fool out of himself.

McGrath is solid but he is held foen by not beling a populist like Dawkins, you have to say that Dawkins knows how to work his audience inti a frenzy.

McGrawth is held up also by not wanting to offend his opponents and that makes him sound weak.

  7. To Matt
Dawkins is a British biologist who has written “The God Delusion, Climbing Mount Improbable, The Selfish Gene” (most famous) and others.

He is currently famous for his anti-theist stance.
This blog appears to be an attempt to push back/slander the man and his influence. Fortunately the author is in the states- British libel laws are insane.

  8. I’m well aware of who Dawkins is, thankyou. My comment was indicating that the author of this blog seems to not be familiar with his works or has an extremely poor understanding of them.
