Well someone said that you can be a christian and believe in Evolution, Dave Hunt tackles that problem with christians who choose not to believe in the first eleven chapters of the Bible.

Some of you Atheists are practising Yoga which is a religion in its own right.

I am not even talking of those who spiritual trips by being high on drugs.

  1. Heavens no. I hate yoga. They keep telling me to focus on my inner thoughts and crap like that…

While it’s true that you can be Atheist and New Age at the same time, a good majority of people who bear the name Atheist also reject supernatural beliefs like the New Agers…

    Still a rare breed…

  2. If yoga is a religion, I suppose my randomness grants me divinity (bunnymuffins).

Atheism is a lack of belief in a deity. Therefore, an atheist can believe all sorts of things. A rationalist, scientist, empiricist, on the other hand (take your pick) is disinclined to believe anything without evidence. Still, picking the good bits out of religion is hardly a crime.

  3. So if you believe it’s the Sun which causes daylight you’re not a Christian? How would you explain shadows?

  4. Alun it is light that causes shadows. Light is not the son, or do you not know?

  5. No, it’s something getting in the way of the sun (or light source of your choice), so that there’s a dearth of light behind the object that causes a shadow.

Contrary to Genesis 1 it is the Sun’s light which creates the difference between night and day. That’s why you never see the Sun out at night when it might be useful.

I hope you work through the hostility you feel towards other Christians. You’ll find many of them really are very nice people if you take the time to get to know them. But if you want to watch anything you’ll need to open your eyes, and I won’t be back commenting again until you do.

    Take care.
