Exposing Evolution As A Mess and Atheism As Hot-Air!

10 Reasons Why Evolution Is A Lie:5) What Are Going To Be gods?

with 12 comments

You are walking for a nice leisurely walk in your local mall area you are approached by two eighteen year olds in white shirts calling themselves elders, seventeen year old elders? Welcome to the surreal world of Mormons but you might ask what has this going to do with evolution? Do you not know that the Church Latter Days Saints are evolutionists?

But at least I would credit them with telling the world exactly what they believe and having worked out what our friends the pseudo scientist have not yet thought about: they want to be gods.

Now let me take this opportunity to ask my friends evolutionist, if you sincerely believe in the evolutionist theory, what will you then evolve into? You cannot surely become a chimp , you have to be more refined than you are currently.

You might need to come to your senses and admit that evolution is a mystery religion which advocates that godhood is in sight, men can evolve into  higher beings. There you are: Evolution has joined the ranks of mystery religion and is now teaching Freemasonic philosophy and Catholism.

  1. This has got to be one of your more ridiculous posts, not even worth the effort to respond to your questions or offer a rebuttal to your whacked-out delusions.

Why does this theory of evolution threaten you so?

I would think that if your blog is a spoof on creationists, you would at least offer some debate on your part, so I get the feeling you are some kid-blogger who is having some fun – albeit retarded fun – poorly written posts and you don’t want to even try to understand what you are so threatened by.

Or maybe not a kid but a misinformed, middle school educated, creationist.

Either that or you’re a complete moron.

  2. “men can evolve into a higher being.”

I don’t see that happening. There isn’t much natural selection going on with people. Even morons can make a living, reproduce, and pass their genes on to the next generation. The way things are going now, the intelligence of the human race may get worse, not better.

I agree with everything nobody said. Creationists are not too bright, and they’re not too interested in educating themselves.

  3. Not all Mormons believe in evolution. Personally, I do. However, my father-in-law and sister in law are very much against evolution and they are both very conservative Mormons. In addition, several of the current LDS Apostles (as well as past ones) believe in creationism and continue to preach it subtly in the Church’s general conferences, making statements that the earth is only a few thousand years old and such (this happened just last Fall). This dichotomy of belief within Mormonism is possible because the Church itself is neutral on the subject of Evolution (see early 20th century 1st presidency statements on the matter), leaving members free to decide for themselves if it is valid or not.

Another slight error of your post is that missionaries are typically 19-23 years old, few exceptions being older. I’d have to say that your post reveals that you are very unfamiliar with the LDS faith, which could explain the tone of your post.

  4. The church is neutral on the point of evolutionism and creationism, on the basis that there are some things that are not needed to be known for our salvation. Some points of information, though they would be nice to know, take our minds from the more basics of the doctrine which if we lose sight of, we will become overwhelmed and lose the main purpose of this life. Much as those in Jerusalem at the time of Christ, the leaders and people there looked beyond the mark and lost their way, and did not know full basic truth when it was right there in front of them. 🙂

On the point of evolving to be Gods, this is a more worldly way of looking at it. Moreso we look at it as we are Children of God, and as such we are on a path to becoming as He. What does a son of a Man or daughter of a Woman become but a Man or a Woman, so what is our purpose then. To become as God is, but this is after much trial, much testing, and way after this lifetime.

  5. If you’re going to try to discredit something, you may want to make sure that your grammer is correct. There were so many errors it actually hurt me to read this post. By the way, on the point of people evolving into gods, I think you need to take a step back and look at the species. We are far from perfect and have a lot of room for improvement. If we are the work of a devine being…to be honest He could’ve done better.

  6. How can a being that lives on average 80 years, observe a change that takes millions of years? Besides, we wear clothes to protect us from the changing weather, so our bodies cant recognize a change, and therefore dont adapt that way. i do beleive that biology will merge with technology. we will become robo sapians.

  7. Eric Mar, How do we even know that there were millions of years? Given that all dating methods are less than perfect?

  8. I know of a surety that man is still someday going to be like God because that is his plan for his children. The greatest love that he has for us is to be like him. Moses in the book of Moses 1:38 state this is my work and my glory to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man

  9. First of all, to Eric Mar-‘Robo Sapians’? Please, tell me you are joking! Dawkinswatch, I have been a member of the LDS church my whole life. I have heard everything in the book from my peers about how our Church ‘has to be false’ and have tried to discredit my beliefs. Our Church remains neutral to certain things, such as evolution, because this is something not needed for our salvation. We believe that we were sent to this Earth from our Heavenly Father. We were given bodies here on Earth. As far as the gods subject, we don’t believe in this in a worldly sense. When we die and return to our Heavenly Father, we will have a far greater understanding and completely different thought processes. But to put it simply, we want to become like our Father in Heaven and he is God. Therefore, we will become gods.

  10. Evolution does NOT require you to become more refined, it simply allows organisms to become better adapted to their environment, diet etc.

    You’re a moron.

  11. Learn some science, d-bag, before you try to discredit it. It’s hard to argue from a point of ignorance. I can argue against Christianity because I have read the only source-the bible. Until you read and understand many of the researched sources pertaining to evolution I don’t think you can posit a decent defense against it.
